We’re back, after a break between Christmas and New Year’s Day. After a week enjoying the green paradise of Costa Rica, I’m ready to go with my batteries recharged. I hope you feel the same.
Green walls/living walls managed to make several blogger’s “top green building trends for 2010″ (courtesy of Goodworks) and “green building predictions for 2010” (courtesy of BuildDirect). Maybe this will be the year that they move into the mainstream as more installations are built.
Living walls have the distinct advantage over green roofs that they are visible, and offer the community continuous reinforcement of the green building message. As we bring the costs down on commercial-grade living wall and green facade systems, we expect the enthusiasm to continue to grow.
