Los Feliz Residence - photos courtesy of Park Slope Landscape

A while back we featured a few images of a residential project in a blog post titled “Another satisfied customer”. Joan Grabel of Park Slope Landscape worked on the Gurman Residence in Santa Monica, transforming a beatiful 1924 home with an average landscape into something special.

Not only did she send a few images to us (and thank us for a job well done), she submitted the project to the Pro Portfolio section of the Los Angeles Times.

Two years after install, the GFRC Wilshire Rectangles still look great

We occasionally use this blog to check back in on projects that have been in for a while. Our Regional Sales Representative just re-visited this high profile project in downtown Los Angeles, originally designed by star architect Frank Gehry. The Walt Disney Concert Hall has quickly become an icon in Los Angeles. A few years after it opened,  Gehry Partnerswas asked to design an outdoor seating area.

A new Container Irrigation training module

Thursday, April 14th, 2011

We’ve just completed a brief (15-min.) overview course for those who want to get a better understanding of the Tournesol Siteworks standard container irrigation products. It runs in either html or flash format on almost any computer.

We originally developed the course to help train the sales staff at our local distributor partners. We want them to be able to provide you with the best support in the field, which means understanding the product they are selling. It has proved to be a great way to familiarize our user and specifier base with our range of solutions. Click on the image below to start the course in flash, or click here to go to the page on our website.

Design for custom irrigation insert for Frontgate

It’s been some time since we’ve had a product other than our Flower Framer windowboxes sold in the retail arena. We were delighted to be approached by Frontgate (a division of Cinmar), who were looking for a container irrigation insert to sell along with an exclusive pot this year. They were able to fit our standard CWC-1300 and CWC-1600 irrigation inserts to several pots that they offer, but had something special in mind for their feature product this Spring. They wanted a custom size for a large, square woven planter.
