One of our major strategic efforts this year will be to establish and communicate a core set of principles throughout our company. In coming up with the program, which we refer to as the Tournesol Commitment, we spent a lot of time asking ourselves “Who are we?” and “What do we do?” versus “What do we want to do?”. Similarly, we asked “How do our customers, partners, and even employees perceive us?” We’ve distilled the answers to these questions into a statement of who we are, and three main pledges:
We are a manufacturer of products that enable landscapes on, in and around buildings. We form a bridge between landscape and architecture.
To our customers we will deliver: complete satisfaction, superior performance, and value. It is our goal that customers at each point in the value chain (owner, designer, installing contractor, maintenance contractor or equivalent) will have a good experience and get what they need when working with Tournesol Siteworks.
To our company we will: fulfill our vision, be a worthwhile investment for our shareholders, and be responsible to our team. We will grow, as a company, to be a major manufacturer of products for the urban environment. This will be a great place to work, and a profitable investment.
To our community we pledge: environmental excellence, to share with our community, to be responsible to our partners. Our commitment extends to those in the community and world around us. Our plans will incorporate our environment, our community, and our partners (vendors as well as channel partners).
There’s a lot more to this than meets the eye. We recognize that this is a process of continuous improvement, and something that we anticipate it will take a long time to get right. We’ve elaborated on the details of each of our commitments (customers, company, and community) on our website here. We’d love feedback, positive and negative!
