We were pleased to do a TerraScreen® demonstration this week for a very large internet company in Mountain View. Creative Plant Design, the company’s interiorscaper, and Sunborne Nursery (a wholesale nursery and Tournesol distributor) coordinated the effort and provided the plant material. By setting up the installation on the fly and then removing it after 3 days, we showed how easy the system is to install and move around. The demo featured a 4′x4′ and a 4′x8′ section.
One of the most attractive things for the client was the option of using the living wall as a freestanding screen that could be moved around at will. They were already using whiteboards for the same purpose. The TerraScreen stand can be outfitted with casters, and with the self-contained irrigation it is free to go anywhere. More pictures after the break.
Sunborne Nursery used their TerraScreen tradeshow setup, which can be seen in the image below. Interestingly, it demonstrates that the panel can be mounted on its side as well. This is true for both the 4′x4′ and the 4′x6′ panels.

One of our customers pointed out that we don’t have pictures of the TerraScreen stands in our literature. The images below will give you an idea of how they work. We’re changing them slightly in the next go-around to incorporate a bar to mount the 4′x4′ units (they were originally designed only for the 6′x4′ panels), and to make a stronger leg. The stand can be used either from one side or both, although the leg changes depending on the application. The stand can be used with the panels either un-irrigated (as shown) or with the fully plumbed irrigation system.
