The Union City High School of Union City, NJ, turned to Raimondi Horticultural Group of Ho Ho Kus, NJ when they wanted a living wall to accent the entrance to their gymnasium. The time was tight, and the space was precise, but we were able to help them by creating a custom-sized TerraScreen system to make the project work.

According to their president, Chris Raimondi, the installation couldn’t have been easier.  Tournesol pre-cut the panels to the exact sizes they required, then assembled the irrigation system so that it would be easy to install when it arrived.  Raimondi’s group built the frame and benches below, creating a wall installation that exceeded their client’s expectations. After a few adjustments to the irrigation system (they removed the emitters to the bromeliads and water those by hand), the system has held up well since the installation in September.

Bromeliads (for color and texture) are changed out periodically
